Typography and Design Layout - Hajime Sorayama
A typographic display experiment inspired by the futuristic and hyper-real aesthetic of Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. The project explores how typography can be pushed beyond traditional layout, using scale, distortion, contrast and composition to create a bold visual language. Typefaces from Blaze Type Foundry were used throughout the project, with the typography becoming the primary visual element. The layouts combine sharp geometric forms with metallic-inspired imagery and dark, high-contrast compositions to reflect Sorayama’s futuristic aesthetic. The project was developed across a series of poster-style layouts, animated elements and mockups, exploring how the typographic system could translate across both static and moving applications.
